Bellow is the link to my first draft of our kinetic type project. The audio is from a YouTube video by Drew Gooden called "Ai is ruining the internet." I chose it because AI is a topic that comes up very often and as someone who is an a creative field, I want my stance on it to be very clear. I think this clip sums it up well.
All I did here was place the words. I want to mess around more with typefaces and effects to make things more dramatic.

this is a good start and I am excited to see it come together! I think I noticed one spot where the words were out of order so just watch it back and double check!
ReplyDeleteLove the message behind your audio, AI is not art, and art is hard. I like the music you chose and I'm excited to see what effects you'll add to this. I feel like maybe the words could be synced just a tad bit more, some feel a little to late or soon, but other than that awesome so far!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the above, some syncing errors here and there but those are easily fixable. Interested to see how your type experimenting goes, but remember you can always mess with size and placement too

ReplyDeleteThis looks great so far! I love the color choice, it matches his voice so well. There's a lot of different points of emphasis in this audio which you showed well with the different sizing's but I think an occasional color change and adding animations when you get to it will look great!
ReplyDeleteI think look at the ending of the audio again, add a 'big finish' with sound to make it feel complete. Right now it feels like it just ends without leaving a punch.

ReplyDeletePlease use youtube instead of Vimeo for embedding videos like described in earlier tutorials. Overall, this is looking good. Not sure the background music supports the text, dropping out in the middle. Some of the text is not quite in sync. As long as you don't change, the timing start in your sound file in audition, you can fairly painlessly try different soundtracks for the music background that would support it better. Just don't change where the text starts in the timeline in audition. Otherwise, you will have to start over in after effects. But overall very nice, should be styling and playing with the layout before adding effects to the intros, Outros, and hang time.
ReplyDeleteI really like the systems in which text appears and how you utilize it to create "patterns" so to speak. I also enjoy the speech itself and the message it conveys.
